How do I create an account?
To create an account, simply click on the ‘login and register” button at the down middle of the Libus homepage, then you have to press “register” button. This will take you to a separate page, where you will be prompted to enter some information about yourself, as well as agree to our conditions of service and honor code. Once you have done so, your account will have been created, you will receive a confirmation email and you will be able to enroll on bootcamps of your choice.
What if I do not get an account confirmation email?
Emails from Libus can get caught in SPAM filters. Check the SPAM folder in your email inbox to see if it's there.
Is there an age limit to join Libus?
No, Libus is accessible, for free, by anyone, anywhere.
What is a Bootcamp?
A bootcamp consists few modules which explore a particular theme/topic.
How do I enroll in a bootcamp?
To enroll in a bootcamp, simply click on the bootcamp ‘Sign Up’ button. You will then receive a confirmation email of the bootcamp you signed up for.
How do I unenroll from a bootcamp?
You can at any time unenroll yourself from the bootcamps by clicking on the "unroll me from this bootcamp" button located in the block on the left inside the bootcamp.
How can I view and edit my account profile?
Click on the username at the top left of the screen, use the drop-down menu to choose "Profile", you will be transferred to a new page, click on "Edit Profile"

How much does registration cost?
All online material on Libus is presented free of charge to those registered on the platform. However, please be advised that offline material provided by our partners could be subject to a fee, in which case you will be informed in advance.
Will I get a certificate at the end of the bootcamps?
Yes, you will receive a verifiable certificate upon completion of all bootcamps.
What language is used for the content of Libus?
All content is presented in Arabic.
Who is the content provided by?
The content has been custom-produced to fit the Libyan context by ITC in partnership with SLEIDSE.
Do I have to be in Libya to access Libus?
No, Libus is accessible online, for free, from anywhere in the world. However, please be advised that the content on the platform is specifically tailored to the Libyan context.

Where can I view my certificates and badges?
You can see all badges and certificates you have received directly from the " My Badges and Certificates" block at the bottom right of the screen on the home page.
Also, your certificates and badges are located in your user page. To view them, click “My Profile”, then click on the “My certificates and Badges” tab on the left.
How can I view my progress in a bootcamp I am currently attempting?
To view your progress, just look at the progress bar at the top right of the main course screen. Blue indicates an incomplete section, while green indicates a complete one.
What is a group?
A group is a discussion forum that brings together participants based on a criterion of their choosing, either geographical based or interest based. It allows participants to interact with people who are geographically close and network with those who share a common interest based on the answers they provided while signing up.
How can I join a group?
Under the “VLS catalogue” on your home page, click to view the catalogue. Select the group you want to join and click ‘Enroll to group” button.
Some groups may only be accessible to those who gain certain privileges from badges. Other groups might be restricted based on other criteria set by the group owner.
What are statuses? And how can I increase my status?
A status will grant you access to certain privileges. You can increase your status in a variety of ways, like completing modules, posting valuable forum posts and interacting with other group members.
What are badges? And how can I get badges?
Badges mark your progress. They are issued upon completing a bootcamp and grant you a certain number of points.
Who are mentors?
Mentors are subject-matter experts who guide you throughout a bootcamp.
How can I contact my mentor privately, outside of the discussion forum?
Simply click on your mentor’s name in the “Message My Mentor” button at the right of your screen. You will then be prompted to write a private message to your mentor, which he/she will then be able to view once you send it.

Common Technical Questions


Do I need a computer to join Libus?
No, all content is viewable on mobile devices, however we recommend using a computer for a better learning and user experience.

We suggest the following technical requirements:
• System: Windows XP sp3, Vista sp2, Windows 7 sp1, Windows 8, 10 (or higher),or MacOS X.
• Hardware: 2 GB of RAM and higher for Vista and Windows 7.
• Software: Word processor (e.g. Works, Open Word, Word, Pages), Spreadsheet processor (e.g. Excel, Numbers, Open Excel), PDF-reader (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader).
• Browser: Most recent version of Google Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Safari, or Opera.
• Internet connection: 500kbps and higher.
Note: JavaScript, pop-ups & cookies must be enabled.
Do I need Internet to access Libus content?
Yes, content is only accessible online.
Wrong username when signing up:
Only lowercase letters are acceptable, please make sure you don’t use upper case or caps lock when you write your username.
When is the sign-up period open?
The sign-up period in Libus is unrestricted. You can sign up by creating an account and start immediately by following the bootcamps, groups and discussions.
The lectures do not show, what should I do?
Make sure you have updated your browser to the newest version. If necessary, please restart the Internet browser you are currently using. All videos are currently streamed from the website www.youtube.com. Make sure that your computer is able to view videos from this website. Please note that Libus is not supported by Internet Explorer and Firefox.
I have completed the module but it is not marked as complete. What should I do?
There can be two reasons for this: either you haven't completed the whole module, or while going through it, you have skipped some slides. If it's not the case, it might be a server response issue, which is causing the delayed marking of the tick boxes. Try to go through the module again or simply wait a few minutes and then refresh the website.
The webpage seems to get stuck when I log in. What should I do?
If the web page gets stuck, try hitting the “Back” button on your web browser and refreshing the page. If the problem persists, try updating your web browser to a newer version.
